From the Web of Language, this news, I am doomed as a writer. But…. seriously, I thought it was interesting that people in bad moods were more attentive to the mood of people surrounding them. In my experience, people in negative moods are less in tune with others, more focused on their own situation, but the people on the receiving end, are highly in tune with their subjects. This is why abused kids are about the most emotionally tuned-in people alive. And the other piece, that a reward was as effective as negative mood in affecting persuasiveness, was interesting. I think that is true.
